Divorce is a painful and difficult process
for you and your family members. A divorce can be accomplished by a
process called dissolution of marriage. A dissolution requires that the
parties enter into a mutual agreement that settles all of the rights and
obligations that arose from the marriage such as who will remain in the
residence, will the house be sold, who will pay the debts, if there are
children who will have custody, how much child support and spousal
support must be paid and for how long and how will the personal property
be divided. We can help you sort through all of these problems and
more. The dissolution is the quickest and least expensive way to end a
marriage.
If you and your spouse cannot agree then it will
be necessary to file a divorce action and ask the court to settle all
the rights and obligations of the parties. During a divorce a spouse
may also need to file a motion with the court for temporary orders of
support, stopping the wasting of assets and establishing temporary
custody of minor children.
We also file post-decree motions to enforce the
prior orders of the court. We can help.
